Blood circulation is divided into systemic circulation and pulmonary circulation.
Pulmonary circulation: right ventricle → pulmonary artery → capillary network in the lung → pulmonary vein → left atrium.
Systemic circulation: left ventricle → aorta → arteries at all levels → capillary network throughout the body → veins at all levels → superior and inferior vena cava (systemic vein) → right atrium.
Blood circulation route:
Superior and inferior vena cava → right atrium → right ventricle → pulmonary artery → capillaries around alveoli → pulmonary vein → left atrium → left ventricle → aorta → capillaries in systemic tissues (except lung)
