Product Description
Ferrari-Themed Pointer Electroscope for Science Enthusiasts and Collectors
2035-1 pointer tester
This instrument is used for electrostatic experiments and can measure the potential difference between two charged bodies; Check whether the object is charged; Check whether the electricity carried by the object is positive or negative; Testing the insulation properties of objects and conducting induction tests.
It is best to wipe the insulation sleeve part with a soft dry cloth before use, as there is often dust and moisture that can damage the insulation performance. In cases where the instrument is severely affected by moisture, it is best to dry it before use.
When measuring the potential difference between two charged bodies, connect the metal shell of the electroscope to one charged body, connect the metal rod to the other charged body, and generally ground the shell. If the Earth's potential is taken as zero, an electrical tester can be used to measure the potential of each charged body. inspect
When testing the charged state of an object, a testing ball can be used to first come into contact with the object being tested, and then the obtained charge can be transferred to the metal rod of the testing device, or the metal rod can be directly in contact with the object. The simplest method to test the insulation of an object is to ground the object (by touching it with your hand), place another point of the object in contact with a charged metal rod of the voltage tester, and observe the voltage tester pointer. If the pointer quickly returns to zero, the voltage tester is a conductor, otherwise it is an insulator.
In order to increase the sensitivity of the pointer, the pointer aluminum sheet of the pointer tester produced by our factory is relatively thin. Due to transportation and other reasons, the pointer aluminum sheet may bend or experience other situations. In this case, the glass sleeve of the voltage tester can be detached and the glass can be removed for calibration.
After using the instrument, it should be properly placed and kept dry. Prevent damage to instruments (especially pointers) due to severe vibrations during transportation.
