Product Description
laboratory microscope for school(XSP-70B)
Product Introduction
Binocular microscope with led lamp has a novel shape and adopts a variety of advanced structures and technologies. It is easy to use, safe and reliable. With appropriate auxiliary equipment, the acquisition, storage, analysis and processing of images in demonstration education can play a great advantage.
Working principle of microscope
The light bulb provides the light source. After passing through the condenser lens system, the light turns into appropriate light to illuminate the specimen. The specimen on the specimen is magnified by the objective lens system for the first time, and then the light changes the direction of transmission by the prism system and is magnified by the eyepiece system for the second time to enter the field of view of the observer.
Before use
Operation
- Insert the eyepieces into the eyepiece tube, and screw objectives into the nosepiece in sequence of different magnification from low to high. Then put the specimen on the stage and secure it in the position with tablet and move it to the center of stage.
- Turn on the power switch and adjust the brightness form dark to bright slowly. After working, you must adjust the brightness to a little dark before you turn it off.
- Observe the specimen from lower magnification objective firstly and move the specimen to the center of view field, then rotate higher magnification objective. You many use the fine focusing knob to obtain the clear image. When 100X (s.oil) objective is used, you should fill up with cedarwood oil (without bubble) between the front of objective and the specimen surface. After working, it should be wiped with a few xylene immediately.
- In order to obtain bright and clear image, the illumination must be adjusted. When different objective is chosen, you should adjust the iris diaphragm of the condenser and different brightness of the light.
- When the lamp needs to replace, you should shut off the power switch and replace it after the lamp is cool. Note: The contact must be firmed, and the filament center should be adjusted.
- If the camera or video attachment is used, you may insert the attachment into the tube of trinocular head of microscope, then adjust the tube until the image is clear enough.

How to use
- Select a place to work where little direct light falls on the instrument.Avoiding to place the microscope in near or facing a large window as direct light may fall directly on it and adversely affect the contrast and resolution of the image viewed.
- Put a low magnification objective into the position and turn on the illuminator.
- Pull up the sliding holder on the table, insert the specimen slide under them.Be sure that the cover slip of the slide is facing towards the objective, otherwise you will not be able to focus your specimen at high magnifications.
- Position the specimen so that it is centered over the condenser.
- Focus the objective on your specimen by turning the coarse focusing knob(14)until the image of your specimen is bright and clear.Microscope will always lower the objective to a point that they know is beneath the focal plane and focus upwards. Now bring the specimen into sharp focus by turning the fine focusing knob.
- With the specimen in sharp focus, rotate the nosepiece to the other objectives and focus.Since the optics on the microscope are Par-focal and Par-centered,only a slight turn of the fine focusing knobs is necessarily.
NOTE: It must be pay attention to note that the 4X and 10X objectives can never come into contacting with specimen slide. But the 40X and 100X objectives may touch occasionally with slide, because of its spring mounts, the slide and objective will not be damaged.
- Select the diameter of the iris diaphragm by turning its plate(8) to set optimum light for each objective. This is done by selecting the appropriate diameter until the entire field is evenly and brightly. If the objective is changed to a higher power, the diaphragm hole must be selected again to the new objective.
Product feature and application
The laboratory microscope for school is ceremoniously offered you newly by us,which is new in design, reasonable in price, optimum in performance, novel in structure, and sharp in image. It is specially designed for clinical examination and teaching demonstration in health establishments, agricultural science and technology field, research institutes and colleges, and used for routine work and research in biology, bacteriology and pharmacology.
Maintenance and precautions
- Cleaning of optical elements surfaces:
Never take the objectives or eyepieces apart. They should be cleaned on the instrument since they are not easily removed. To clean the lens surfaces, first remove the dust with a soft brush or blow it off with a small syringe. Then use a cotton-tip applicator and small amount of xylene, clean only the front lens element of the objectives and the top lens of the eyepieces.Wipe with a clean cotton-tip again, and finally, blow or brush off the lens surface. The mirror or illuminator lens surface maybe cleaned in the same manner, but better results maybe obtained by wiping with a soft lint free cloth.
- Cleaning & Lubricating of Mechanical parts:
This type of maintenance should be done by an authorized technician.
- Adjusting the focusing stop:
Usually, the table stopping screw(20) has been located accurately before the microscope leaving from our factory. When it is not in order, use 40X objective and a speciment slide on the stage.Relax the screw(20),and raise the table up until the slide contacting with the front of 40X objective. Then locate the focusing stop screw.
- Replacing Lamp
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE REPLACING LAMP.
ALLOW LAMP TO COOL ENOUGH BEFORE REPLACING.
Lay the microscope on its side, remove away the rubber feet(6) and take the base(14) apart.Pull out of the old lamp and put the new lamp into the lamp socket. This model is equipped with LED lamp 0.05W.
Trouble shooting
- The objectives:
If you are using any type of liquid on the slide and then view through the microscope, make sure that you clean the objectives immediately after you are done. You can clean with paper towel and xylene. If you don't clean them, the objective lens after contacting with liquid will become very dirty and hinder the viewing quality of the objectives.
- The eyepieces:
If the viewing quality is hindered and checked by the fingerprints on the outside of the eyepiece lens,it could be scratched.Don't scratch the eyepiece with your fingernail,as this will remove the optic coating.Only clean outer lens and don't attempt to take eyepiece apart.Clean by using a can of compressed air for dust or brush on lens and wipe with lens paper.
- The focusing stop screw:
In the structure figure, you can see the table stopping screw(20).The screw sets how far the table will move up.Students may screw it all the way down. This limits the upper movement of the stage and objects will not come into focus.Simply turn the screw back up,the more the screw comes up,the higher the stage will be raised up.Don't turn the screw to far up because the stage may hit the 40X objective.
- Slide and cover slip:
If the slide does not come into focus, check to see that the slide is not upside down.Make sure the cover slip is facing up.Also make sure that the slide is not dirty. In viewing image, the spots will be showed up if it is.Be sure that the cover-slip over the specimen is not too thick.
