High Precision Friction Tester for Accurate Material Measurements

        1, Purpose:
This instrument is designed according to the JY/T0619-2019 Junior High School Physics Teaching Equipment Configuration Standard of the Ministry of Education. Friction refers to the interaction between objects in contact that hinders their relative motion. When an object slides on the surface of another object, friction between the contact surfaces that impedes their relative motion is called sliding friction, and the magnitude of the frictional force is measured by a force gauge. The instrument is mainly used for student group experiments to explore which factors are related to the magnitude of sliding friction force.
       2, Composition of the instrument:
It consists of a host box, a bottom plate (friction plate), three sets of friction blocks with different friction coefficients (wood, sandpaper, rubber), fixed pulleys, force gauges, uprights, thin ropes, hook codes (to be prepared), etc. (Drawing).
The host box is electric, with an external DC voltage of 12V. The motor speed is adjustable and can be displayed. The motor speed is displayed as 0-8, and the larger the number, the greater the motor rotation speed. The size of the friction block is about 110 mm × 50 mm × 35 mm, with hooks on the side. The friction plate is not less than 800 mm × 100 mm × 10 mm, with a fixed pulley and a flatness error of no more than 0.6 mm. The texture is hard and the surface is uniform.
